from a promt i was given in my highschool creative writing class. it was an "I AM" poem
I am running away
I wonder what, exactly, I am running from, but I do not stop.
I hear voices all around me and inside me telling me to stop but I can not.
I want to go back, but some unknown force us driving me onward.
I am running away.

I pretend tha tI don't hear the voices-the pleas
I feel like I am the only one who believes in my casue, whatever that may be.
I touch my hands and my heart, knowing that this is me.
I worry that I will not succeed in my endeavours.
I cry tears of frustration, for I am alone.
I am running away.

I understand that Fate takes one where it may.
I say to myself that I can do it alone.
I deam of the success it seems I will never get
I try time and again to get there
I hope I will never lose the longing that I have.
I am running away.
