A simple new job can reveal burried family pain and new love for Jaden. Work in Progress
Prolog
“Don’t let the vault close.” Jaden could not believe this was happening. Watching the vault door slam into place. “Are you stupid, how can you let it close? Are you just stupid, we’re trapped now.”
“How was I going to stop it from over here?”
“Damn it we’re stuck until someone comes down here. Is this getting through that thick skull, trapped?” Trying to control her rising fear, Jaden hated tight spaces. For shot periods of time she could handle it. The unknown was already raising her anxiety. “Not like I could have stopped it from here. You seem to be pinning me to the floor remember. Now figure out how we are going to get out of here before the air runs out.”

“Where’s that phone you are never without, you know the one you are always on?” Jaden knew right where her phone was.

“Don’t give that righteous crap.” Tyler had had enough. “For the past five days you have walked around here acting like my men and me were nothing more then dirt under your feet. This holier then though attitude is enough. Give up this act, you are not the type that can carry it off.”
“What gives you the right to think I am something more then I am?”
“I know exactly what you are. I can quote you line for line the pathetic existence you call a life. How you got this job. How you have not kept a man in your life for more then two months.” That got Tyler slapped.
“How dare you.”
“How dare me. I have every right. You act like you are better then anyone around here. You have not seen nearly enough in your little life to even judge me.” Stopping her hand before she hit him again, “I also know that Duncan hired you sight unseen.” Reaching up he pulled away the band confining her hair. “I also know I have wanted to do this just to shut that mouth of yours.” There was no chance to steal her emotions. His mouth commanded her surrender, to give him all that he demanded…
