A brief poem, when I was down and full of questions.
My heart is aching badly.
Can’t you see it?
It’s calling out, sadly.
Can’t you hear it?
It’s breaking to rations.
Can’t you feel it?
It needs some compassion.
Won’t you give it?
It’s cold and dark.
Won’t you warm it?
It needs that spark.
Won’t you ignite it?

I need you with me.
And I don’t know why.
Can’t you be with me?
Why won’t you try?
