A little insight into what I think of when I personify vowels.
A, violet,
the jewel at the heart of a cordial,
the noxious poison of the cloud's cigar,
the ribbon in the hair of a sunflower.

E, copper,
the stain on the skin of the mountaintop,
the oak tree's polished self-portrait,
the hands of clay that create humans on a pottery wheel.

I, green,
the acidic drip from the nose of an Easter Island statue,
the naked gypsy apple,
the hula skirts of the garlic clove tribe.

O, blue,
the paintbrush of the ocean,
the coat of a tomcat when his orange one is at the cleaner's,
the house of dreams.

U, beige,
the dusty tornado that bullies the sky and the road,
the irises in the eyes of the princess in her sandcastle,
a piglet with no pigment.

And sometimes Y,
...
but he doesn't count.
