The creative process at work
Drifting thoughts scattered about,
random and endless chatter within,
Never stalling or pausing like a drum beat or a dripping faucet,
No concise thought just stream of consciousness,
No rhyme or reason just jumping about,
Running and Leaping with endless bounds,
Never settling on one basic point but
instead becoming entangled in a frantic tempo of disorder and chaos.

Suddenly like a ray of sunshine through the clouds,
Something emerges that is unexpected,
All else stops until only this idea and thought remains,
Order is restored and then you realize,
That you have witnessed the birth of A new idea, poem, story, or thought.
