My journey to a semblance of maturity.
When I was a young boy
So many years from now
I played with all the boy toys
And I knew we’d meet somehow

The years changed the boy
A young man was I now
Maturing with my new toys
And I knew we’d meet somehow

No longer was I a school boy
Pretty girls I sought out now
My broken heart their new toy
And I knew we’d meet somehow

A young man acting like a boy
The soft music playing now
A living doll not just a toy
And I knew we’d meet somehow

An older man and yet a boy
Immaturity have I now
I broke a heart just like a toy
And I knew we’d meet somehow

Age and maturity became the boy
How clearly I think now
No longer do I break my toys
And I knew we’d meet somehow

Now I’m searching as the boy
One girl do I seek now
My living doll not just my toy
And I know we’ll meet somehow.
