Wrote this due to another wee bout of insomnia.
These vivid dreams,
That come in waves,
Tear at the seams,
Invade my days.

Not through fear,
Or suspicion,
As it’s clear,
They bear no relation.

To my life,
Or my worries,
No nightly strife,
No heart flurries.

Yet they’re so real,
And so familiar,
I can’t deal,
With them regular.

Like twice the work,
To ‘muddle’ through,
To come unstuck,
In the morning dew.

Seem semi-lucid,
Feature length,
My emotions bid,
Sapping strength.

Until the line,
Between night and day,
Is less than fine,
Gone! Some say.
