The doubts you feel when you think the one you desire is not who you thought they were
Just because you've built a tower to the skies,
It doesn't mean you know God,
Telling people such a tale,
Only exposes you as a fraud.

Through thick and thin he stood by you,
Taking him for granted,
Don't you wish you could explain to him,
That you merely felt stranded?

Up on that high horse of yours,
People they stop and stare,
Not to admire, witness perfection,
But to wonder why you don't care.

Making folks feel so insignificant,
Isn't a good idea, doll,
When you're in need, out of touch,
Who you 'gonna' call?

Still, he thinks of you everyday,
Your name is on his lips,
Waiting tolerantly, without remorse,
Until you get to grips.

There'll come a time, a breaking point,
When you think all is below you,
At such a height you'll be blind,
To what is actually true.

I am he and you are she,
Together we'd be we,
We could be one,
Equals to none,
And then together we'd be free.
