My mom passed away unexpectedly. I never got a chance to say goodbye.
An angel was born deep from a change
Times shifted from warm to cold
Seems only yesterday the woman bled
The brilliant voice could not breath the fever away
Daughter did flower, as time passed her by
Mother was gone and no on knew why
Devour the stiff embrace
minds become numb
Never forgotten, to die is to fly from yesterday to today
From warm to cold you went, defeated and decayed
Night has fallen upon your world
Lips no longer quiver, as you no longer stand
Child from the cold, ashes to ashes and dust to dust
So much left unsaid, decimated dreams disintegrated to dirt
Liquid in the needle and only it knows why
Lingered in the sacred mind were secrets never spoken
Lingered in the broken mind, never to be awoken
Seeping from the smoke your memory will carry on
Slowly through the poison we must carry on with wonder-
Did I ever really know you?
Though it matters not today, for all the answers lie
...far beneath the grave......
