The ground has a story to tell via wind, sunshine, and even rain
TALKING DIRT

The dirt has stories it tells
with pebbles
and songs it sings
with the wind.

It knows what I've done,
who I've seen,
what I feel,
and it even knows where I've been.

It tastes the past off my shoes,
communes with my heart
in umber tints and earthy hues
and in the crunch of autumn
or the crack of winter's brittle start.
