Marketing Customer Relationships: Putting it all out on the Table.

This method of relationship marketing was first developed and tested in the 1960’s, it mainly focused on customer withholding, and most importantly customer approval.  Understanding the needs of your customer is the first step in this strategy of marketing customer relationships.  The next step to this process would your campaign and managing that campaign.  These two key points should ensure your customer centric approach.

Strategy in the process of marketing customer relationships is established by establishing what the customer needs from your company first and foremost.  From that point you need to acknowledge the customers expectations from your company.  If you understand and follow this strategy from the very start, and keep the ball rolling you should have a relatively smooth road along the way between your company and your clients.  Once strategy has all been drawn out and designed by your team, a proper campaign should then be created as well as managed and maintained properly.

Campaign management, in regards to marketing customer relationships combines the elements of both operational and methodical customer relationships.  First off, the best way to go about this, is to target you groups that are based on your initial clientele.  This will give you a better idea on which direction you need to guide your campaign in.  After this has been established, get your campaign into gear, get those wheels turning by using your resources and getting the word out to your clients, as well as prospective clients.  Use as many ways of communication as possible such as email, simple telephone calls, and mail.  After this has all been said and done, maintain that campaign by tracking your campaign statistics, ensuring that the time and effort as well as funds that you have poured into this campaign are actually moving and growing up.

The most important things for you as a company to start with, with your clients, is to just lay everything all out on the table.  Tell them which direction you want to take them; this is your initial strategy.  From there, place your marketing customer relationship campaign into drive, get your word out, be as vocal as you can, let your client know that what you have is what they need, and what they want.  Be honest, don’t play games, don’t beat around the bush, otherwise that bush could end up catching fire, and burning your bridges with your customers.
