contest entry (limit 200 words) on the topic "the stairs"
Yesterday was a dream. I lay stretched on the stairs. The stairs were made of crystal and each step, just 2 inches wide. My hands were touching the top door and my feet, the bottom door. I could not breathe yet I felt alive. I wasn’t hungry yet I felt content.
The doors opened; at the top door stood a black-bodied, red-eyed, double-headed man and at the bottom door stood a white-bodied, blue-eyed, headless man. I felt my brain was about to explode and so I tried to stand up, but couldn’t. I slipped and fell; I felt nothing.
I knew I was on my way to hell. I looked closely for one last time at both the men and was thinking which door to choose.

A voice boomed from nowhere
“Both of them are my angels. You see them in different shapes.
All on earth are my children. You see them in different colours.
You are numb but still you feel fear.
Those eyes of yours will keep you forever in fear.”

The doors closed.
I realized my mistake and pleaded for forgiveness.
