This letter is to Jacob, a classmate of mine who just died.
Dear Jacob,

If I would've known that you would just drop dead like you did, I would've paid a lot more attention to you. I would've gotten to know you better. I would've appreciated you more. I would've hugged you one more time. Then, maybe, I wouldn't feel as regretful as I do now.

I mean, where the hell do you get off, just dying like that? You were fine a day ago! But no, you just had to die, huh? You just had to put all your friends and family through crap, didn't you? Do you have any idea how sad everyone is because of you?!

No, you probably don't. But I guess it can't be your fault. You couldn't control you heart from exploding. Anyway, you were religious, right? Yeah, you were because we went to the same church. You've probably heard all about the Divine Plan, correct? Well, I hope you're part of that plan, Jacob, but to be honest, I'm having trouble believing that there is one right now. How can God just kill good people and then lead us to believe that's it's okay just because he says it's all for the greater good? What good could ever come out of you dying? Nothing!

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not writing to you to bash God or anything, I just need to say that I'll miss you forever. I loved you very much, but I didn't realize it until you died. Our friendship may have just been starting to grow, but I cherish what I got out of it and I just need you to know that. To know that I loved you, just as I love any of my other friends, and to know how much of an impact you were on everyone who knew you. Jacob, I hope that there is a God for your sake, and I hope you'll be happy in heaven.

Love,
Kylie

P.S. Keep an eye on Christian for me. I think he'll miss you the most.
