Dialog only. Fun little piece of banter between a couple. Enjoy. Rewarding end.
“Look, maybe it will work itself out.”

“Ok, let me get this straight. You want to just ignore the issue. Is that it?”

“Well, you know… ‘Time heals all wounds’, right?”

“No, not right. Ignoring a problem makes it worse not better. God, Harold, if you’d just let me-“

“Oh, no. I remember the last time you tried to ‘make things better’. If you recall, I was out of the house for a week.”

“Well, at least you were better off when you came back.”

“Yea. Because I was out for a week. I gave it time, which you never do.”

“Oh, please. You were gone because I made you leave. I FORCED you to confront the issue, otherwise we’d still be dealing with it today. Now hold still while I-“

“I said no. I meant no.”

“Why are you being so stubborn? I only want to help you.”

“Why are YOU making such a fuss? It’s not even that big a deal.”

“Not a big deal? That’s your answer to everything. Your entire life can be summed up in that one damn phrase. Maybe if you’d take things more seriously THIS wouldn’t happen.”

“Sarah, you gotta calm down. Really. You’re blowing this WAY out of proportion.”

“And your being an ass.”

“Fine, I’m leaving.”

“No! Stop! Look I’m sorry, okay? Sit down.”

“…”

“Maybe your right, and it will fix itself. But why chance it? You know what happens when you let things go for too long. They stay inside and spread, and before you know it we have a REAL problem on our hands. I just want to sort this out before it’s too late.”

“Fine. I just don’t like this kinda thing. I always come away scarred.”

“Better to have a scar that heals than an infection that doesn’t.”

“Is that supposed to be philosophical?”

“No, common sense. Now give me your hand…”

“Ow!”

“There, see. All better.”

“Damn, that’s tiny.”

“Yea, well, it’s the small things that always end up becoming big issues.”

“It’s bleeding.”

“Sometimes you have to bleed a bit to get at the root of the problem. Now let me get you a Band-aid and some Neosporin.”

“Thanks.

“Stupid splinters.”
