free verse poem
Rain drops create this unreal rhythm
Describing harmony as water falls
I come to terms to relearn in silent serenade
What is lost in this sound of nothing

This gaping hole is finally filled
But when filled I cannot reach the bottom
I can swim for years
In these endless oceans I create

I pass by meaningless figures
Draping over their hunched backs
Tired, empty and damp
I yearn for my haunted boat to pass

This eternal mountain has finally fallen
But when its fallen I cannot reach the summit
I can walk my entire life
To only once reach the top and not come back

From here I can see the ocean
Showing me what I once had
Surpassing my initial need
I step beyond and over the edge of reason

In this ocean I can swim forever
While these sounds of silence embrace
I am mountains oceans and ghosts
Forever singing my parasitic notes
