Just something short and random.
A choice. Go or stay. She knows the answer.

Girl thinks her lessons have been learnt – change is harder than extravagant hair, homemade clothes. Parents will be forever oblivious. Scooping ice cream does not pay rent. Boys always hurt.

Young, broken.

Girl knows. She knows.

Young, broken, knowing.

Girl is beautiful, fragile like a doll. The choice has been made but she will not move. Going is everything. Staying is nothing but it’s all she ever had. She knows, she knows.

Her eyes are older than her. Wise, tired. They glisten as they slowly follow the passing train. She does not move. The chance is gone. The life is gone. She lifts her bag, folds her ticket, turns her back. She knows.
