Just some words I through together for myself
Sunny skies,
but dark and gray within.
Hiding out,
but still in full view.
Finding myself,
but losing sight
of the goal
that's behind me.
20/20 is not how I see it
but as a preamble in the mist.
something that has happened
Is about to come full circle,
Not wanting it,
but waiting with anticipation,
for I know it has to be this way.
Where do I look for answers
when I can not even find the truth?
windows open,
but the doors are closed,
to the heart that once beat hard
with the passion I felt for you.
Transparent lies
that I'm too blind to see through.
Is it crazy
that I rely on my senses.
Even though you are so far away,
I can smell the lavender
of your skin.
I can still
hear the sound
of you voice,
and the warm
touch of your hand,
but your taste
is bitter-sweet to my
tongue.
and I"m too foolish
to be smart enough,
to get away
from the fire that burns.
