A helpless robot is found in a boy's house.
An outstretched hand turn to flick a switch on a small, robotic figure, and it whirred it life.

Bzzt, it stated as the being sprang to life. The robot began to look puzzled. “Bzzt? Why’d I say that?” the robot inquired as he looked out at the large room before him. “And where am I?” The miniature robot looked around the room. Pencils, silicon chips, and toy ships “greeted” him.

“I-” The robot began, but was soon cut off by a large, pale hand that enveloped him. “Help me! Help!” The thing squealed as it was carried off the little table into a room, much larger than that of the previous room.
He fell with a large CLANK! as his miniature body slammed upon a marble floor. The robot shivered. “It’s..Cold….”

Suddenly, a thud. Another thud. Yet another. What’s that? The small robot whimpered. The sounds began to increase in speed and volume. The robot “thought” no more. He turned tail and began to move desperately his little metallic arms and legs, struggling with the cold floor that restrained proper movement. Then he saw it.

What he saw before him made him want to scream. Other robots, each dismantled, and lying in a large basket stared blankly back at him. “What-” He stopped. A large shadow was atop him. He slowly turned, and looked up. There stood the crazed boy. The robot killer. The killer of humans, and robots alike, was smiling grotesquely as he help up a crudely crafted screwdriver. “Well,” the boy scowled, “I guess I made you to be a bit too smar-”

The robot saw and took this chance. He turned and moved his little feet as quickly as the hand-crafted joints would allow. Oh please, oh please. Don’t let it end like this. He looked to the left, and there stood the boy’s mother, caked in blood with a hammer wedged between her breasts. Her eyes stared blankly at the ceiling, eyes glazed and unmoving.

This motivated him furthermore. He moved even faster; making him snap his joints, as he tumbled to the ground. No! He thought as he looked desperately around for a place to hide.

“Oh, where aaaaarrre yooouuuu?” The boy quipped, still smiling. A hint of insanity was found in his face.
The tiny being grabbed on the sofa leg and pulled inside the sofa, and hid there. No, no, no… And he waited. And waited…

Hours have past, and he looked up to see that the house was deserted. Is it safe? He looked outside, and was greeted with an eerie silence. the dragged his legs up to the door, and crawled through the dog door. He was free.

He looked around and saw a smiling, young boy playing with his mother. I can be safe there, he thought, and he dragged his limp body towards it-but…

“So there you are…” The robot reeled. It couldn’t be. But it was. There before him stood the insane boy; the satanic look on his face as he picked up the creature and walked back into the house. It was silent. Then a burst of flames erupted through the windows as the house that the little robot was found in, exploded.
