I was trying to write a poem with as much alliteration as possible.
Sleeping I saw a sight too sacred to set in simple speech
A sight so resplendent my senses sought safety
I seemed somehow to be set inside the sanctum of Shaddai
His supreme essence saturating the Spirit of this space

So shaken by the scene my eyes perceived,
I scarcely stood, surveying a shadow-less sanctuary
My so called strength seemed insignificant
Set side-by-side the splendor of this structure

In its center a series of spectacular sparkling steps
Ascended to a solid seat, smooth and seamless,
A singular stone unscathed by incision

From somewhere inside the seat
A steady spring sacrificially spilt iridescent
Softly splashing its spotless surface and
Slowly spreading a sunlit stream down the stairway

A single sip of this succulent stream
Slaked my insatiable thirst
As it soothed the saline sadness
That had seeped subconsciously into my shallow shell of a
Self-lived subsistence

Slightly above this sturdy seat
I saw the sovereign One suspended, shaped as a sphere
Shining stronger than seven suns
Exposing my secret soul which I had since kept safely
Sealed in a superficial existence

This sphere, this all supreme circle sublimely shimmering
Seemed to sing.
Somehow smitten, He softly serenaded my soul
Instilling a sense of significance to this self-reliant, sightless, status-seeker

I swam in a sea of silky silver songs
Surrounded by swarms of supernatural sounds-
A symphony of sweet syllables
Superimposing my soul with serenity

Still stunned, I saw savory scents
Steam-like wisps of swirling smells
Summer sea breezes and
Spring seeds starting to sprout

So I stood, solemn, soaking in the Spirit
Simply seeking to stay in the solace of this sacred sanctuary
Till self-centered strivings ceased
And I solely sought the strength of Shalom
