OUR SPIRITS CAN NEVER COMBINE

You think you're slick.
You think I slipped.
My character is built,
while your soul is full of guilt.

I know you'll pay your dues.
I know I'll take note.
Your character is clear,
while my soul is still here.

We feel the shadows.
We feel the ghosts of lives past.
Our characters are inter-twined,
while our spirits can never combine.
