TEACHING AND LEARNING

If we imagine a huge number of people in a desert for some days, they came from a place where they are not sure and they want to go somewhere but it is not clear where they should to go. In the same time they are in need of water but there is no water to drink closer to them. They are asking each other to get water but no one knows where to get it. Some of them are searching around to find but others are not searching such as children and some others who are not able to search around. They just look for those who are searching, in case if they could find water will bring and give it to them also.

         Many of these people are succeeded to find a source of water; however, they found different sources such as, lake, spring, canal, stream, sea, ocean and etc. in addition these people have different container with themselves to carry water for the people at the desert. Some of them have glasses and jars, others have jukes, some have buckets, some others have bigger container for carrying water. These people take water to the people from the sources using their containers. They might try to give the people safe water which is not harmful for their health. Also they might try to give them sufficient water if they could. However, if these people do not provide them safe and clean water they might use unsafe water such as raining water and so on.

         At the end what I mean is, the people at desert who need water but some are searching and some others are not searching, are learners. Those who were searching water and they found different sources of water, carry it according to their containers and give water to the people, are teachers. Different containers for carrying water are the capacity of teachers as learners to acquire knowledge. Giving water to the people that benefit them according to their need is teaching. Having water and getting benefit of it is learning; water in different sources is what we call knowledge and different sources of the water is sources of the knowledge.

         Therefore, teaching and learning are interlinked and they are holy job of teachers that not only benefit themselves but also help other members of society to reduce their thirst, go forward and survive themselves while facing problems.
