I wrote this shortly after my good friend passed away this summer.
In the whispers of silence, I hear your voice;
I feel you walk beside me.
I forget that you're gone.

I recall your advice;
The gifts you left with me;
And despair my indulgences.

Did you know your influence?
Your inspiration? Your oasis?
Or were you oblivious?

That wonderful smile;
That infectious giggle;
Are what I miss the most.

You're not here any more,
But yet you remain;
A torment and a blessing..one in the same.

Michael, you were, are, and always will be in my heart.
I long for your guidance. Until we met again. Peace out.
