Poem I wrote a few years ago. Rated 13+ for angst.
She goes to church, but does not hear the sermon.
She goes to school, but does not learn anything.
Her mind is totally gone from this world.
She has found a place to escape to.
She has friends, but she is quickly losing them; they do not understand.
There is no way to find her, once she is gone.

She goes to places no one knows, not even herself.
She is drowning in this hidden place,
And no one is there to hear her cries for help.
There is nothing she can do to get away.

She sits in the middle of the room, in the centre of all the confusion,
And yet she is not there.
No one can find her to save her.
She cannot save herself, no matter how hard she tries.
She is lost, and no one can find her.

She cries herself to sleep at night, but she feels nothing.
She is totally empty inside.
She is lost.
Will no one come to save her?

Will no one come to save me?
