Haiku gets Daggered




Moment In Time


A new year begins
Resolute in new ideas
Optimism reigns


We must be the change
Carry this loathsome burden
Generations pass


Destinies emerge
We are a moment in time
Burn bright as sunrise


No one can dare say
This weight is light as feathers
Life comes down to choice


Where are the fighters?
Are fractured wings blinded eyes?
Who will lift us up?


No peace for children
Raised with the blemish of hate
Cultures of ill will


Malice leaves no hope
Live without these chains
Replace spite with love


A new year begins
We are this moment in time
Burning bright then gone
