Autobiographical poem/lyric of my childhood. Inspired by Monet's Willow Tree
Sad Willow Tree

Sad willow tree how long has it been
since your last warm rain?
You've been loosing yourself to the wind
and the city closing in.
The lights are so bright at night
you cant sleep anymore
and its been so long since you've seen the sunrise.

What measure of me is that of my father?
Mother, the child in me is slaughtered
by the blood of the lamb.

I'm that sad willow tree
Down by the water.
