The first two parts in a first book in a series hopefully
Part 1
Jennifer Evans was lying in bed looking up at the ceiling with complete silence all around her. She was happy to finally be alone after the constant interruptions from police officers every day for the past week. Jen knew that they were only trying to help but it was only a simple mugging and the guy didn’t even take anything. The only real damage done was a cut on her right arm which, to be honest, wasn’t even hurting that much any more.

It was closing in on midnight and Jen considered actually going to sleep until she felt a slight stomach pain, forcing her to run for bathroom in case she was coming down with something.

She went back to bed after about ten minutes. The stomach pain was still there but she didn’t feel sick or anything. She continued to feel worse for about an hour after that. The moon was revealing itself from behind the clouds shining a nice glare through Jen’s window and into her messy apartment which still needed to be painted.

Jen suddenly felt a crippling pain in her stomach. She knew she must have got something from that guy Larry at work. The man was constantly sick and it was only a matter of time before she caught something from him.

That scratch wasn’t helping the pain. That was starting to hurt worse than the cut and the glare from the massive full moon outside was just blinding her. Jen closed her eyes in an effort to block out the pain. It was impossible to ignore and she wanted to scream but she realised that that wouldn’t achieve anything. It would just piss off the neighbours.

Then the pain disappeared and Jen opened her eyes. Her sight had gone funny because all she could see was red. After that, Jen blacked out.

Part 2
Jason Taylor was only two weeks into his brand new profession of hunting the supernatural. He still couldn’t get the idea that his boring old dad could have kicked supernatural ass for thirty years before being killed by nothing more than a simple heart attack from smoking.

Jason had only done one case so far. That was only a spirit in some old lady’s house. This time Jason decided to look in to the disappearance of a young girl near Central park a few nights ago. The only hard part was getting past the cops. This was where his special skill of making fake Id’s came in. Jason walked up to the barrier.

“Detective Jason Talbot, I’m here to check out the disappearance of a Miss Jen Evans on Thursday”.

Jason never used his real last name in order to cover his back. If he spoke to the wrong people, he could be in trouble. His dad told him that piece of advice.

“Go on in detective” said the cop stood by the entrance.
The apartment was a mess. Things were tossed about scratch marks ran down the walls and the back window was smashed.

To a normal person this was just a mess but to a hunter this was probably one of the most obvious examples of a werewolf attack ever seen. Jason had been a hunter for two weeks and he’d already figured that out.

He took out his phone and dialled. Whilst waiting for a pickup, Jason decided to look around for any background information on the victim.

“Hello”

“Hi. I’m at the scene of the abduction. I’m pretty sure a werewolf caused this”

“Fair enough. Come back to the house with some background info and we can at least find some kind of trail following whoever or whatever took her”

Andy Croft was a young twenty year old man with short blonde hair and, at the moment, a small bit of stubble on his face. He was Jason’s cousin and he liked to think of himself as a hunter despite the fact that he’s never seen anything even slightly supernatural.

There was a knock at the door. Andy went to answer it. He looked through the peephole and saw a beautiful young blonde woman looking extremely worried. He opened the door.

“Help me!”
