A poem about life, sorrow, passions and desires, endless changes and belief.
A fierce and cruel dragon filled my world with havoc and pain
With eyes like flaming grim stone that watched my every move

I was held hostage by a breathing fiery dragon called father
Into the dark he sent me, and I had no light to comfort me

Dare I say something that would send the fires of hell my way
Hush little girl and be brave, because there is no one there

My voice speaks not, as fear has silenced my screams
The dark consumed me and followed me into adulthood

The cruel dragon is no more, not to return into this world
Where do cruel dragons go after they have been defeated?

My soul was ripped from my heart, and a shell only remained
Living a life without passion and desire, what can I be?

My memories were dormant, but now come through cracks
In my mind I see clearly, what the fiery dragon had done

I unveil the layers of fear that plagued me for so long
Nightmares that once were, are now but a fleeting memory

The road was long and confusing, but light was graciously appearing
With a coat of wings, angels shared their visions of hope and forgiveness

I see the world in color with all the hues and it's surroundings
Beauty, happiness and calm have now entered into my world

I rejoice in endless changes and beliefs, I know who I am .....
