A short poem based on true young love.
As I lay here, I wonder....
I wonder why I think about you all the time,
I wonder why your face wont leave my mind,
Why those nights meant so much to me but so little to you,
As if we lay there, your arms wrapped around me,
Written on your back - the words " I'm lying to her, breaking her heart, to get what I want "
Yet I'm still persuaded to think everything your saying to me is true, I believe the words
" I love you "
How dumb, foolish, pathetic of me. You don't love me.
I figure that now. You broke my heart in two. A whole part of me is missing without you.
I think, "why?, how?, what did I ever do?."
I gave you everything. You took something from me I'll never get back.
You stole my heart too..
But why am I even writing this?
You don't care,
If you cared you wouldn't have done what you did,
and you did it.
So that's why I'm up here now watching down on you...on everyone I loved and left,
Because of you.
