anti-war poem from combat vet
            YOUNG MAN
Have you ever gone off to war
Do you know if you survive you're the same no more.
Of course you don't 'cause you've never been.
I survived to tell you it won't make you men.

What happens out there will destroy you inside.
If you come back you'll wish you'd have died.
All of that ugliness it will never leave.
I'm writing so you they don't deceive.

Oh young man you've so much ahead.
Be careful of lies you may end up dead.
No one should give their life for a lie.
The most insane reason why you must die.

You must pay attention to our leaders everyone.
Was it for money you're placed under the gun.
For GOD our country and the American way.
Never for the money that was made that day.
