Inspired by the recent weather, I decided to write a poem about snow.
The sky doth bring forth great canvases of white,
That glimmer and dazzle in the morning haze.
Like tiny jewels layed in the dim sunlight,
That sparkle and shine to show off and amaze.
The people seeing this do skylark in glee,
Dancing on ice and creating men of snow.
From the bitterness and wet no one does flee
But as the sun shines the substance starts to flow.
The faces of snowmen drip and quickly morph
From the black smiles of coal to gaze of fear
Skaters return to the safety of the wharf,
They sit and watch the snow unfreeze from their pier.
And as the sun sets to the bitter cold night,
People lie in their beds, beaming with delight.
