A boy finds his guild killed, but gets revenge later. this story is in development.
Nolan, a young boy of 15 slowly opened the 2nd floor window doors to the magistrates mansion and stepped up onto the sill. His satchel is heavy from the small marble statue he just took from the night stand next to the sleeping magistrates head. A guard comes around the corner at the end of the hall behind Nolan. Spotting him he yells "You, turn around." and begins running towards Nolan who looks back at him, smiles, and jumps out the window to a nearby tree. The guard gets to the window to find Nolan making his way down the tree with amazing agility. "Thief! Stop him." Two more guards come running from the side of the mansion and Nolan runs for the 6 foot stone wall surrounding the grounds. He jumps and catches the edge and hangs there for a moment turning to look at the guards pursuing him and says "Hurry up or you wont catch me" then gives a little laugh and pulls himself up and over the wall. Nolan quickly made his way through the torch lit city and head down an ally. He crawled through a whole in the stone wall that surrounded the city and took off down a trail through the woods. After about 20 minutes he veered off the trail and went into the woods. He lifts up a wooden door that was hidden on the side of a small hill and went in. Walking down the steps he noticed that it is unusually quiet and wondered what was going on. When he walked into the main chamber he stopped. The look of confusion that was first on his face was quickly washed away by tears. They were all dead. Everyone he has ever known. His friends, his family, even the animals. Nolan dropped to his knees and wept.

Chapter 2

Its been ten years since the massacre of his guild. And ever since he has been traveling from town to town. Hiring himself out to Lords and so called gentlemen who need someone who can be discreet. He got into a bit of trouble in the last town and had to take his leave due to the wanted fliers being posted. He comes upon a larger and slightly nicer town than the ones he's used to named Darnun and walks into a tavern. He is hit with the smell of whiskey and stale cigar smoke. There's a bar along the right wall thats lined with people either drinking they're liquor or slumped over with they're heads resting on the bar. A set of stairs against the back wall lead up to a walkway with four rooms along it. Nolan walks over to the bar, removes his trench which he lays on the bar and sits on a stool. "Whatcha need?" The slightly plump bar keep asks. "Water and some food, I don't care what." Nolan sits quietly with his arms resting on the bar and his finger tips touching. The eight or so people sitting at the round wooden tables are whispering and keeping sending quick glances over to Nolan. They are not used to someone who looks like him in the town. They are used to clean shaven groomed men. Seeing someone wearing dirty jeans, a worn out shirt and daggers on both hips is an oddity.
