Don't drink and drive.
The beautiful black and gold urn
Holds the ashes of an unsung hero
Everything about the man was good

Because he understood the meaning of life
Everywhere he went he left behind a smile
A mother's pride and joy, always
Until the fateful day arrived, a head on collision as two cars crashed
The choice of life and death, he held in his hands
I am so proud of him because he thought not of himself
For he placed his life in danger, to save a child's life
Unyielding in his decision, he protected the tiny tot from death
Losing his own life in the process

Behold this unsung hero
Long live his memory
A man who dreamed of being a teacher
Could he teach us more in death than in life
Keeper of his brother, surely he became

A bright young man who had such wonderful dreams
Not just dreams, but great visions for the future
Died, laying down his life for another

Golden memories, this mother now holds
Old photographs, worn and yellowed with age
Lingering images of my precious son
Death cannot overshadow the beauty the man has done

Uplifting was his spirit, which is now free
Reaching heaven's door is he
Now as I his mother, let his ashes go out to the sea
