Contemplating life, the futility, the footprint.
We busy ourselves
like worker ants
to, just by chance
or design,
avoid noticing
we're living life...
..and life
is passing by.

But why?

Is it so hard to comprehend
all beginnings have an end?
Then so do we.

And like the worker ant
who's toil is done.
Others will finish
what we'd begun.
It is...
...as it should be.

Only humans are left
pondering the futility,
the fragility,
the reason for it all...
...and was it all for naught?

I tell you...
...only if they forgot
that you and I once stood here,
one breathed, loved, and lived here.

Only if they forgot.
