A look at date rape
My judgement skewed, senses untrustworthy.
No more believing myself - my feelings.

I welcome him in with one embrace.
Count him among my closest of friends.

Moments of light conversation
turn uneasy in mere seconds.

Eyes veil with driving desire.
Confused, I retreat a step.

Hands grip me, pull me close.
Who’s this man before me?

Screams silenced by strength.
Body invaded.

Mind fogged by thoughts.
I let him in.

“Goodnight, friend.”
His last words.

Door closed.
Tears start.

Me?
Raped?
