Heart broken into a bunch of pieces
I remember relying on you day and night,
not realizing your need for freedom,
that slowly grew and grew. Imagine my fright;
fear for what was to come.

I can't believe it is true. It isn't right,
a string untied from my thumb.
When I lost you, I was in a plight,
hard to recover from.

What happened to eyes shining bright?
Now I am sad and glum.
I miss mornings' and evenings' delight,
as I sit lonely, numb.

I miss you; the day to my night.
I wish to grant freedom
to the emotions that cause me fright,
but only see loneliness to come.
