Depressing I know, but an emotional release none the less.
Black Rose

I gave you everything you wanted.
My body and my heart could not be anymore granted less the life be drained from me. 
You were the lush green vine for which I could hold onto preventing my plunge into the abyss.
Now you are the stem of a rose. 
Your thorns destroy me the more I hold on. 
Your beauty is only the lure to pain.
As I feared you have attracted another. 
My essence is that of a black rose withering away.
I shall retire into solitude. 
The abyss of which you have granted me my fate. 
Why?
