life is abstract not brief / long
Gnawing, gnawing, eating away

The world comes a full circle

Few more years is all it takes

For me to be you, for you to be me

Let the serpent swallow its own tail

Sheepishly I look around

I don’t wanna be the serpent’s mouth

And still if I lose my focus now

I know I will end up

Being the serpents tail

The abyss is deeper than I thought

If I jump, I eat a bait

The world is calling

I look about

In its many hues, I am opting out

Neither the serpent nor its tail

Attract my irk or my faith

I hate to admit what I see

The serpent thrives in every mouth

Its fodder is you and me

Let the serpent swallow its own tail

Sheepishly I look around

I don’t wanna be the serpent’s tail

And still I am losing my focus now

If I don’t I will become the serpents mouth

The abyss looks inviting now

I know I can jump

I wont be falling down

As I enter the serpent’s mouth

I can say for sure

I didn’t stay for long enough to see

the serpent swallow its own tail
