Without A Happy Ending:Jackie

It was September 19,1999 Jackie attended a birthday party. Since she had drank at this birthday party she had a friend who lived in a dormitory near by drive her home. Regeniald Stephy a 17 year old was also at a party that same evening and at about 4 in the morning he was heading home. He was over the limit, still drunk. He was in the lane beside Jackie he crossed the double median. Stephy's car crashed into Jackie's friend Laura Guerrero's car. Jackie's two friends Natalia Chpytchak Bennett and Laura Guerrero died instantly. Johan Daal and Johanna Gil were not killed, they were imjured, but not seriously. Jackie was still in the car which had caught fire. Her feet were pinned under the dashboard. She was trapped. The flames engulfed her entire body. When the paramedics arrived they heard Jackie still moaning in a non human way. She was crying for help. 60% of Jackie's body had severe burns. Her nose besides her nostrils were burned off, her fingers almost burned all the way to the knuckle. She has had a total of 50 operations including cornea transplants since the crash. The drunk driver Regeniald Stephy was sentenced to 7 years of prision. This tradegy well almost tradgey happened in 2003 Stephy should be out this year.
Stephy was charged a $20,000 and convicted for two accounts of intoxicated manslaughter. Jackie is still alive to this day. Jackie goes out in public trying to live through every day without worrying about critiscm and glad she is alive and loving it. Many people know about Jackie's story, she has posters with her picture of before and after or just after in health classes mainly of Jr. Highs and Highschool's, she was on Oprah too sharing her story with the world.
