And there I've done it, I've created my account for Writing.Com

As soon as I clicked on that "Create Account" button, I was amazed. There are so many people here on this online community and there is so much to do! So much to read, so much to look at... I didn't know where to start! There were so many pages and places to go. It was almost frightening in all the excitement. Right there you are lead to the Getting Started page, and that's what I started with.

I wrote up my bioblock and created my first item. I opened up my notebook and on the first page, there was a poem. I typed it up into a Static Item and BAM! I posted my first piece of writing ever on the site. After that, I turned the page and typed up the next poem. My portfolio turned black and I was officially a Writing.Com author. I never though I would share my writing with anyone, and here I was putting it on the internet for anyone and everyone to see. I grew tired after this, and on that first of April, I went to bed later than usual.

The next day, right after school, I logged on to my account at my friends house. I was so excited when I opened up my email box, I had received my first review over night.

A review of "Always The Girl:

Hi There
I like poems that rhyme! The poem is fast paced and speaks of light, fun and good times but there is an underlying sense of sadness.
An overall good read!

*Shock* Someone actually liked my poem! I would have never though it, but some one did, and it made me feel really good. I decided I had to post some more in my portfolio. I had to... more! I typed up a story in a Static and put it in my portfolio. I was so proud of myself.

I decided to do a little bit of exploring. And that's when I realized that this site is really big. I needed help! Where should I go? What groups should I join? I can't do it all, so I really needed help. I texted my friend Darikana and he replied: search 'angel army' Of course, I searched for the angel army and a group came up: "The WDC Angel Army! "Hrmmm... I wonder what this is?" I said out loud. I clicked on the group and asked to join. Shortly after, I was added, and then I found "The Angel Outreach Program. I had found my help.

I posted in the forum: "I need help with the site. It's REALLY big." I logged off once again. The next day, who was there to adopt me none other than my friend Darikana ? He reviewed what was in my portfolio and answered all my questions. What a nice guy! And everyone else that appeared in my inbox, I kept thinking The nicest people live here on this website, I know it.

The month went on and I read some things and I wrote some things... I had a good time. I know that Writing.Com is just a website with virtual people "walking" around, but it is really fun and I plan on staying for not just another month and day, but much longer than that.

Thank you Writing.Com, all it's members, and everyone else who help!
