dad is dying of heart disease. mom is an alcoholic.
the screams of the pain
he can't breathe
the empty bottles
to help her sleep
refusal to believe denial
rememberance is a foreign word
she gives up when he fights so hard
she gives in as he walks the long line
all she see's in front of her
that we're all gone
she yells for the bitterness on her tongue
the ignorance in her eyes, she only see's one
nothing to help her, as if our love is all gone
we didn't leave, but she threw away
i'll ask for who I once knew
the one who has given me so much
but she fights, it's just not worth it
not the physical, but the mental hit
my refusal to believe this is it
my denial this is all we get

Tonight the sun will set.
Tomorrow it will shine.
and all the bottles she drinks away.
She drinks regret goodbye.
