(Poem) to a close friend, until he revealed a wolf's tail while I was away.
Requiem

For ages it's been winter time
But now the sun shines

Let the truth unwind

From far then and
From near here
What is this I hear?

Cries of wrong -
Don't worry they
Won't last long.

Eyes on the wall
Eyes on your fall
They've been watching -
Watching it all

Time is short
As is yours
You had one shot

As did I.

The complexities immense
Mixed feelings intense
The past and present tense
Come now, make sense

Open let the curtains draw
Reveal the Darkness crawl
Let the Light pour
These rain-tears for your fall

T'was once but a knight
So pure, shining bright
Now consumed by the night
Who will, against him fight?

There's an Ancient
Long and old
Been here since things've grown
Though by no means a foe -
This one, the Ancient must let go

Hark -
The skies' turned dark
Listen, to this herald

For ages it's been winter time
But now the sun shines

Let the truth unwind.

~

A/n: The apostrophe in the third last paragraph is intentional. There is a hidden word - 'have' - next to it, but I thought having a "skies've" was foul so removed it.
