21 letters per line, an exercise in sadness
There she waits all alone

amidst the still of the night.

The midnight sun shines

through clouds in the sky,

caressing her sweet face,

reflect tears in her eyes.

How she cradles her heart

crying endless sad sighs.

There she waits all alone

in the first sign of light,

while darkness retreats

a new morning comes alive,

then an empty crib in view,

the pain deep in the heart.

She cradles her emotions

crying endless goodbyes.
