Childhood. A Monchielle written for a contest. (Another re-write)
SUMMERTIME REMEMBERED

There's no school in July.
No school, no bus, no books.
Let's play, and jump, and run
And never wash our necks.
We'll chase the summer's fun.

There's no school in July.
Long days, short pants, no shoes,
Squirt guns and swimming pools,
Bike rides and fireflies
Will be our among our tools.

There's no school in July.
A picnic on the 4th
With hot dogs cooked just right,
Hamburgers on a bun,
And fireworks at night.

There's no school in July.
It's hot, and there'll be rain,
But we won't mind at all;
We'll splash in puddles cool.
We're free until the Fall.
