Thoughts on life
THE BANQUET
(Regrets)

When I was young
and life was
freshly sliced
upon my plate,

Too cautiously
did I partake.
In vain
my soul to sate,

I've nibbled
at the edges
and devoured
all the crumbs;

But never reached
for sweeter meat
and now....
the Busboy comes.
