Written using a prompt..open the gate. It is about the end and ready to face God.


Open the Gate

Open the gate, I'm coming through
Lord don't fail me now
I have worked oh so hard
the sweat is on my brow.

I've been good, I know I have
to get to my final place
it's with you in the promised land
the final lap of the race.

I suppose there were many times
I fell from your good Grace
I knew one day, it was you
that I would have to face.

So change I did, and quite complete
I know you saw it too.
I'm a new person, now and I feel free
open the gate, I'm coming through.
