Over the course of 24 hours, your dreams drive you nuts. Scary as possible, please.

This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!
The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
Okay, this is my 2nd Interactive. You may remember the 1st, it was happy and random (The Necklace's Curse). This one is scary and random.


The characters are (and feel free to add more):

Alex Drake - 17 years old, average person, nothing too special...about to go through some serious insanity.

Caitlin Drake - 23 years old, Alex's older sister

Robert Drake - 14 years old, Alex's annoying little brother

Mom and Dad - Alex's parents

Nightmare - A strange being that appears in Alex's dreams one night...

Basically, I don't care what you do with the above characters (except Alex and Nightmare). They're just characters that you can change on a whim if you feel like (and trust me you'll be able to).


Here's how we do this little dance:

Alex goes to sleep. And doesn't wake up (though you can wake him in the 24th hour, see below). Nightmare keeps him asleep and puts him through nightmarish scenarios (duh), designed to drive him insane.

There are 24 hours in a day. Every chapter is one hour. So, at the end of the 24th in ANY storyline, you must write a disturbing end for each storyline. You are NOT allowed to end the story unless it is the 24th hour. And yes, he can wake up in the 24th hour, but make it more than "It was all a dream", perhaps have him wake to something worse.

An important note is that before it was stated that you needed to put the hour. That's not needed, since the chapter number is the hour. Chapter Number = Hour. Okay, enough said.


There are no limits per se, but remember this is a horror story. So...do not turn this into some sexual fantasy or whatever. Be as scary as possible. Thank you.


Those that write VERY scary chapters may get bonuses like GP or their handle posted on this page. And sorry, you're going to need more than gore to scare me. (UPDATE: Due to school and personal projects...I can no longer maintain the GP and Handle Posts. I apologize and hope you continue to enjoy the story and add to it.)


Also, I want chapters that are NOT one sentence. Those may get deleted. Descriptive, nightmarish chapters please (aim for 3 paragraphs or so to be safe, unless you can describe it in less).
