From the mouths of babes
His daughter's question hung in the air while her hopeful blue eyes searched his for explanation. She looked so little and sad, all he could do was shake his head. He wasn't able to speak for fear of laughing. He didn't have an answer anyway. After all, what would God want with a dead dog?
