about new love and a place where the new love blooms.
Love, let's go to the place
Where lovers go to play.
Where the wasps buzz,
But do not bother,
And the mud glistens
Just like clear water.
We can lie under the open sky
And watch the clouds
While outlining hidden shapes as they pass.
This one-a turtle,
This one-for love,
This one-a mystery,
This one-for us.
We'll hold hands and I'll give kisses
That your soft lips solicit.
As day turns to evening,
Evening turns to night.
We'll kiss for our audience
Of a thousand fireflies
Whose distant lights
We'll confuse with winking stars
That twinkle like your heart
Shining through your eyes.
Between our osculating
And our close lip whispering
We barely notice
The serenading of the wind
As it whistles through the leaves.
I'll tickle your toes for love.
And when the time comes
I'll carry you to the car
So you won't waste your feet.
How great it is to be tangled,
Reveling in the sheet,
Left alone to become one
Where love and lovers meet.
