Poem using a bunch of nines for a contest prompt.
Cats, Rats and Baseball Bats (Including nine syllables in each line of nine verses. Nine sets of nine things used.)

Line count:18

Nine fat cats met with their nine friend rats.
Each had nine ash bats and nine team hats.

A nine-inning game was why they came.
One rat was lame, but played all the same.

Ninth inning, it's late. Score: nine to eight.
Cat stepped to the plate; Rat shook with hate.

The lame rat's throw hit the batter, so
Nine fans yelled, "No! Let that pitcher go."

Nine tempers flared as the two teams glared.
Spectators stared, two-times-nine fists bared.

Nine fat cats met with their foes, nine rats.
Each had nine ash bats and nine team hats.

Next came a blur: rat hair and cat fur.
It caused quite a stir, that's for darn sure.

The ump yelled,"Now halt, you're all at fault!
Stop this assault! Act like an adult!"

When the field was cleared, just as was feared,
Nine cats wiped their beard as cat fans cheered.
