A poem about our desires to belong
Belonging

I wish I could find a place where I belonged
Or a person I could belong to.
I’m always looking for a special place where I could lay my head and feel
Content knowing that I am where I am meant to be.

People always look at me and think I’m a person who knows where she’s heading.
But in fact, I’m still trying to find my way through this labyrinth of life where there are so many dead ends.

One day I know I’ll find my way into the path of something great.
But until that day, I’ll just make my way
Through the maze of life where we each must find our own way.
